SpyX Data Breach?:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of reports of a potential SpyX data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from customers who believe they may have been impacted.
Reports have surfaced that phone monitoring software company SpyX experienced a data breach in June 2024 that potentially affected nearly 2 million people.
Data breach notification website HaveIBeenPwned.com reported on March 19, 2025 that the SpyX data breach exposed 1,977,011 unique email addresses, as well as device information, geographic locations, IP addresses and "6-digit PINs in the password field."
Troy Hunt, who runs Have I Been Pwned, also reported that the breached files contained roughly 17,000 sets of plaintext Apple account usernames and passwords.
If you believe your information may have been exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force SpyX to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
