Alternate Solutions Health Network Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation

Alternate Solutions Health Network Security Incident: What Happened?
On or around May 30, 2024, an unauthorized individual gained access to an employee email account at Alternate Solutions Health Network, LLC, which collaborates with health systems to develop post-acute home health and hospice care solutions.
Upon discovering the breach, the company secured the compromised account and launched an investigation in consultation with external cybersecurity professionals. Alternate Solutions Health Network determined on February 14, 2025 that the unauthorized actor had access to personal and protected health information within the compromised email account.
The exposed information varied by individual and included names, dates of birth, addresses, driver’s license numbers, names of physicians and clinicians, clinical information, diagnostic details and treatment information. A limited number of individuals also had their Social Security numbers compromised.
It’s been reported that the Alternate Solutions Health Network data breach impacted 93,589 people. On April 14, 2025, the company began notifying potential victims with valid mailing addresses on file.
