On April 18, 2024, Rex Signature Services discovered that some of its computer systems were inaccessible. The company initiated measures to secure its systems and began an investigation to assess the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation found that an unauthorized individual accessed certain systems between April 9 and April 18, 2024, likely accessing or acquiring information stored in those systems.
The investigation revealed that sensitive information, including names and Social Security numbers, was contained in the compromised files. Additional data potentially exposed in the Rex Signature Services data breach includes driver's license numbers, state identification card numbers, tax identification numbers, passport numbers, military identification numbers, other unique government identification numbers, and limited medical information.
