Vitruvian Health Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the data breach affecting Vitruvian Health.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Vitruvian Health Security Incident: What Happened?
Vitruvian Health, formerly known as Hamilton Health Care System, reported that a data breach might have exposed the personal information of 88,848 individuals. The incident targeted Nationwide Recovery Service, a third-party collection agency serving Vitruvian Health affiliates Hamilton Emergency Medical Services, Hamilton Physician Group, Hamilton Medical Center and Anna Shaw Children’s Institute.
On July 11, 2024, Nationwide Recovery Service discovered a cybersecurity incident impacting its information systems and took steps to address the situation. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized individual accessed Nationwide Recovery Service systems between July 5 and July 11, 2024.
Nationwide Recovery Service notified Vitruvian Health on February 24, 2025 that the breach included patient information. Potentially compromised information includes names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, financial account details and medical data.
