Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Paycor data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Paycor Inc., which provides payroll and employment-related services to clients like PfP Industries, experienced a data security incident that may have led to the unauthorized access of PfP employees' personal information.
On March 18, 2024, Paycor discovered that an employee of a third-party service provider it contracts with had used credentials without authorization to access PfP's Paycor account. This breach led to one fraudulent payment made from PfP accounts. Both Paycor and the service provider coordinated their investigations into the incident. Additionally, Paycor collaborated with PfP to assess the impact, address underlying issues and reimburse any fraudulent payments.
The personal information potentially compromised in the Paycor data breach includes individuals' first and last names, home addresses and Social Security numbers.
