Freudenberg Medical, LLC has notified individuals of a security incident that may have involved their personal information. On November 11, 2023, an unauthorized attempt was made to disable certain Freudenberg Medical systems. The Massachusetts-based medical device manufacturing company says it took steps to contain the threat, secure its systems, and commence an investigation with outside consultants. On June 18, 2024, it was determined that private data might have been exposed.
According to the Maine Attorney General’s Office, the Freudenberg Medical data breach has impacted 4,415 individuals, compromising at least their names and other information specified within the company's individual notification letters to victims.
