Ben E. Keith Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Ben E. Keith data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On or around March 14, 2023, foodservice distributor Ben E. Keith (BEK) launched an investigation after discovering unusual activity on its computer network. It was found that an unauthorized individual had gained access to a specific section of BEK’s network between March 3 and March 5, 2023.
The accessed area contained files and folders containing personal information such as names and Social Security numbers, although the specific data that was compromised may vary for each affected individual.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Ben E. Keith to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
