Legacy Professionals Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Legacy Professionals data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Legacy Professionals LLP has announced a data breach that may have compromised the personal information of individuals associated with the firm’s accounting services. The Legacy Professionals data breach was detected in late April 2024 when suspicious activity was found on the firm’s network. An investigation revealed in November 2024 that some files had been taken by an unauthorized party.
By early February 2025, Legacy confirmed that the exposed data might include personal details such as names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, and information related to medical treatment or health insurance. The specific data compromised varies between individuals, and Legacy Professionals is now in the process of notifying affected individuals.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Legacy Professionals to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
