Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Landmark Admin data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Around May 13, 2024, Landmark Admin, a third-party administrator for life insurance carriers, identified unusual activity within its system. By May 14, the company discovered an unauthorized attempt to infiltrate its network. The forensic investigation concluded around July 24, 2024, and Landmark discovered indications that an unauthorized third party had encrypted and exfiltrated files from its system between May 13 and June 17, 2024.
The investigation has revealed that the compromised information may include names, addresses, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, financial account numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, passport numbers, dates of birth, annuity policy details, life insurance policy information, health insurance policy numbers, and medical information.
The Landmark Admin data breach reportedly affected 806,519 individuals, including those who were producers, policyowners, insureds, beneficiaries or payors for insurance policies the company administered.
Landmark Admin is an administrator for Liberty Bankers Insurance Group, including American Monumental Life Insurance Company, Pellerin Life Insurance Company, American Benefit Life Insurance Company, Liberty Bankers Life Insurance Company, Continental Mutual Insurance Company, and Capitol Life Insurance Company.
