Lucent Health Solutions Data Breach

Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Lucent Health data breach.

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.

Lucent Health Solutions, Inc., as the successor to Capitol Administrators, recently reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to an employee's email account due to a phishing incident on October 2, 2023. The unauthorized access lasted approximately 90 minutes before the health insurance administrator's cybersecurity team intervened to eliminate the intrusion. No evidence was found indicating that information was downloaded, transferred, or viewed by the unauthorized individual. However, out of caution, Lucent Health issued a notice regarding the incident. 

The Lucent Health Solutions data breach potentially exposed personal information, such as names, demographic data, Social Security numbers, health insurance details, and medical diagnoses, of up to 37,000 individuals. In a notice posted on its website, Lucent Health warned employees and members to monitor their accounts for fraudulent activity.
