Unity National Bank of Houston recently notified the Texas Attorney General’s Office of a data security breach affecting thousands of its customers, including 9,574 Texans.
The Unity National Bank data breach occurred between July 2 and July 3, 2024, when an unauthorized individual gained access to certain employee email accounts. The bank, which has locations in Texas and Atlanta, Georgia, first became aware of suspicious email activity on July 2, prompting an investigation with the help of outside cybersecurity experts.

Unity National Bank stated that the specific type of compromised information varies for each affected customer.
