Tempel Steel Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Tempel Steel data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Tempel Steel Company, LLC has announced that the February 2025 data breach may have exposed information belonging to participants of its health and welfare plan.
On February 6, 2025, Tempel Steel identified unusual activity on its network, which led to an investigation with a specialized cybersecurity firm. The investigation revealed unauthorized access to the network from February 6 to February 7, 2025, during which files were viewed and obtained by an intruder. A review of the impacted files determined on March 25, 2025 that they contained personal information.
Information potentially exposed in the Tempel Steel data breach includes names; addresses; Social Security numbers or tax IDs; dates of birth; health insurance details; health information; driver's license, state ID, passport or other government ID numbers; financial account information; and payment card details, a sample data breach notice states.
Tempel Steel, a leading manufacturer of high-precision magnetic steel laminations, is now notifying affected individuals via mail.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Tempel Steel to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
