Cerda et al v. Associated Supermarket Group, Llc et al
Filed: November 2, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv6178
Associated Supermarket is facing a lawsuit that alleges it maintained a “widespread, repeated, and consistent” practice of failing to properly pay workers.
New York
The operators of Associated Supermarket have been hit with a lawsuit that alleges they maintained a “widespread, repeated, and consistent” practice of failing to pay employees proper wages.
Behind the suit are two individuals who were employed as stockers and produce workers at the defendant’s Brooklyn location. The case claims the plaintiffs received fixed weekly salaries that failed to meet federal and New York requirements for minimum, overtime and spread-of-hours wages. In further violation of state law, the complaint alleges, the defendants failed to issue the plaintiffs wage notices and regular paystubs.
