Radio Star, LLC and the company’s owner have been named in a lawsuit filed by a former employee who claims he was deprived of lawful overtime wages.
According to the suit, the plaintiff worked as a busboy, food preparer, dishwasher and cleaner at Radio Star Karaoke, the defendants’ New York City lounge. The man says he put in at least 54 hours each week for $800, which did not include time-and-a-half pay for overtime work. Additionally, the plaintiff alleges his employers failed to issue him a proper wage notice and paystubs throughout his employment.
