Two former Pronto Pizza employees seek to recover allegedly unpaid minimum, overtime and spread-of-hours wages in a proposed collective action out of New York.
The plaintiffs put in at least 75 hours each week as a cook, food preparer and drain cleaner at two Pronto Pizza locations in Staten Island, according to the case. The suit charges that the men were paid fixed weekly salaries that did not properly pay them for all hours worked.
Further, the workers claim they were deprived of rest breaks, accurate paystubs and wage notices during their employment. The suit adds that one plaintiff supposedly was not properly reimbursed for clothes he was required to purchase for work.
