A proposed collective action has been filed against Fingers Faces & Toes Corp., Fingers Toes & Nails Corp., Mani & Pedi Spa Inc., and four individuals over allegations that the defendants failed to pay employees at their NJ nail salon proper wages.

A proposed collective action has been filed against Fingers Faces & Toes Corp., Fingers Toes & Nails Corp., Mani & Pedi Spa Inc., and four individuals over allegations that the defendants failed to pay employees at their New Jersey nail salon proper wages. The plaintiff in the case says she regularly worked more than 40 hours per week performing manicures, pedicures, and waxing for the defendants’ customers. According to the complaint, she was paid a fixed daily rate regardless of how many hours she worked and never received time-and-a-half overtime wages, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
