New York
NY Great Stone Inc. and the contracting company’s owner have been hit with a lawsuit filed by a former employee who claims he was deprived of proper overtime wages.
According to the case, from 2012 to December 2018, the plaintiff worked as a stone fabricator and installer at the Flushing, New York business where he typically put in 54 hours each week. Despite clocking in and out each workday, the man, the suit alleges, was paid a daily rate between $120 and $190 regardless of how many hours he logged each week. The plaintiff claims he never received time-and-a-half his regular rate for overtime hours worked, in violation of federal and state labor law.
