Filed: December 26, 2017 ◆§ 1:17cv7490
The plaintiff in a case against Zhong Wang Construction claims he worked roughly 72 hours per week without being paid appropriate overtime wages.
Flushing, New York’s Zhong Wang Construction Inc. and its owner are facing a former employee’s allegations that the defendants broke the law by failing to pay proper overtime wages. The plaintiff alleges he worked roughly 72 hours per week as a laborer for the defendants between January 2016 and March 2017 without being paid time-and-a-half overtime premiums for each hour worked past 40. The case further claims the defendants violated state and federal labor laws by failing to post in a conspicuous location minimum and overtime wage notices.
