A lawsuit filed against Zacky Farms and Zacky & Sons Poultry claims the companies laid off hundreds of employees without providing proper advance notice.
A proposed class action filed against Zacky Farms, LLC and Zacky & Sons Poultry, LLC claims the California-based companies laid off hundreds of employees without providing proper advance notice.
The suit states that approximately 500 employees who worked at the defendants’ Fresno and Stockton facilities were suddenly fired without cause in October 2018. According to the complaint, the defendants violated the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN Act) by failing to provide employees with at least 60 days’ advance notice of their terminations. The case seeks to recover 60 days’ worth of unpaid wages and benefits for putative class members.
