Five Star Medical Staffing, LLC is facing a former employee’s claims that she was frequently required to work more than 40 hours per week without appropriate overtime wages. Citing alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the lawsuit states that the woman was employed by the defendant for approximately 10 months and worked overtime “on a regular and repeated basis.” The plaintiff claims that instead of being paid the FLSA-mandated time-and-a-half overtime rate, the defendant paid her for all her hours at only her regular rate of pay.
