Holman Distribution Center of Washington, Inc. has been named as the defendant in a proposed class and collective action filed by a former warehouse employee who claims he wasn’t paid premium overtime wages.
Arkansas
Holman Distribution Center of Washington, Inc. has been named as the defendant in a proposed class and collective action filed by a former warehouse employee who claims he wasn’t paid premium overtime wages in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state law. According to the suit, the plaintiff and similarly situated employees were responsible for providing manual labor “such as moving boxes and operating equipment” and often worked more than 40 hours per week. The case argues that although the defendant knew of the FLSA’s requirements regarding overtime wages, it refused to pay employees at the time-and-a-half premium rate for all hours they worked over 40 each week.
