Comprehensive Health Management, Inc. is on the receiving end of a lawsuit filed in August by a former employee who claims she worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving proper overtime wages. According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendant processing insurance claims and held no managerial responsibilities that would exempt her from overtime pay. She was allegedly required to work “off the clock” during lunch breaks or outside her scheduled hours in order to complete her workload and was not compensated for those hours, the suit says. The plaintiff claims she complained unsuccessfully on several occasions to her supervisor about the defendant’s supposed failure to pay her time-and-a-half wages.
