A former employee of Tost Café has filed suit against the restaurant’s operating company and owner in an effort to recover allegedly unpaid wages.
A former employee of Tost Café has filed a proposed collective action against the restaurant’s operating company and owner in an effort to recover allegedly unpaid minimum, overtime and spread-of-hours wages.
The plaintiff claims he worked 66 hours each week at the Flushing, New York eatery, where he was responsible for duties pertaining to cleaning the restaurant, preparing food and delivering orders. According to the suit, the man received a fixed weekly salary between $320 and $400 that failed to provide him with proper pay.
