Filed: January 29, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv619
A proposed collective action has been filed against NYC Green Transportation Group, LLC by a former employee who says he was not paid proper wages while working as a driver for the limousine company.
A proposed collective action has been filed against NYC Green Transportation Group, LLC by a former employee who says he was not paid proper wages while working as a driver for the limousine company. The plaintiff claims he and other employees should have been paid every two weeks but sometimes received paychecks only once every three or four weeks. “Moreover,” the complaint alleges, “when Defendant did get around to paying Plaintiff, Defendant failed to pay Plaintiff for all of his hours worked.”
The suit goes on to argue that the plaintiff often worked more than 40 hours per week but would not be paid at a time-and-a-half premium rate for his overtime hours. On top of that, the plaintiff attests that the defendant withheld gratuities intended for its employees and failed to provide accurate wage statements.
