A former employee has filed suit against Hume Enterprises, LLC and two individuals with control of the company over allegedly unpaid minimum and overtime wages.
The defendants operate Toms NFL Sports Bar in Miami Springs, where the plaintiff worked as a waitress from September 2017 to 2018, according to the suit. During her employment, the woman was allegedly paid $35 per week plus tips. The case claims that when divided by the 260 hours she worked per month, the plaintiff’s hourly rate amounted to 58 cents. The suit says the defendants “willfully/intentionally/recklessly failed” to pay the plaintiff lawful wages for straight-time and overtime work.
Lastly, the plaintiff claims the defendants have failed to “timely pay” all her due wages for her last month of employment.
