The company and owners that run East Side Bagel in New York City face a lawsuit in which three plaintiffs say they're owed unpaid minimum, overtime pay.
The company and owners that run East Side Bagel in New York City are the defendants in a proposed collective action brought by three plaintiffs who claim they’re owed unpaid minimum and overtime wages. The plaintiffs, who the case says are still employed by the defendants, claim they regularly work more than 40 hours per week without proper pay and meal and rest breaks. Though the plaintiffs’ weekly schedules have varied during their tenure with the defendants, the individuals claim they’ve worked anywhere between 50 and up to 87 hours per week—with one plaintiff claiming that he’s worked between 82 to 87 hours per week throughout January 2018—without appropriate compensation and mandatory wage statements.
