Florida
A former resident aide at Florida assisted living facility The Crossings of Riverview has filed suit against its operating company Saber Healthcare Group, LLC over claims that the defendant failed to pay its employees proper wages. The plaintiff, who the suit says worked for the defendant between March and September 2017, alleges that she and similarly situated employees were not compensated for all the hours they worked and were paid less than the federally mandated minimum wage. She claims she approached a manager with complaints about being required to work through lunch breaks and was allegedly told, “that’s just how we do it.”
