Suspected Labor Law Violations Detailed in Complaint Against Springboard Media

Dessaigne v. Springboard Media, Inc.
Filed: April 5, 2018 ◆§ 2:18-cv-01433-ER
A lawsuit claims those employed by Springboard Media as Professional Services Engineers and/or System Administrators were not paid proper overtime wages.
Springboard Media, Inc. is facing a proposed collective and class action wherein the plaintiff claims the Philadelphia company failed to pay salaried Professional Services Engineers and/or System Administrators proper overtime wages. The plaintiff, who worked for the defendant from July 2013 through January 2018, claims his job duties barely changed when he transitioned from his Professional Services Engineer role to that of a System Administrator. The man claims he worked between 40 and well in excess of 50 hours per week without being paid time-and-a-half overtime. The alleged non-payment of wages, the lawsuit argues, stems from the defendant’s classification of the plaintiff and similarly situated workers as exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.
