A group of six companies and four individual owners who operate a building in Harlem under the name Super Realty Management are facing a proposed collective action filed by a former employee who worked for the defendants as a superintendent. The plaintiff claims he worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving appropriate minimum and overtime wages. According to the suit, the defendants failed to keep an accurate account of his hours worked and therefore neglected to compensate him accordingly.
The complaint further argues that the defendants failed to provide the plaintiff with proper meal breaks, wage statements, and posted notices of his employment rights.
