Filed: August 9, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-04664
Lord & J Detailing and an individual with control of the business have been sued by a former employee who alleges they failed to pay him proper overtime wages.
Lord & J Detailing and an individual with control of the business have been sued by a former employee who alleges they failed to pay him proper overtime wages. The plaintiff, who cleaned cars for BMW (the defendant’s customer) between June 2014 and June 30, 2017, says he worked approximately 58 hours per week and was paid at his straight hourly wage for those hours. He argues that he should have been paid time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours he worked above 40 each week, in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
