A former employee of Steadfast Construction and Foster Development has filed suit against the construction companies over allegedly unpaid wages.
New York
A former employee of Steadfast Construction LLC and Foster Development LLC has filed suit against the construction companies and their three individual owners over allegedly unpaid wages.
The plaintiff was employed as a construction worker by the defendants from December 2000 to September 2018, according to the suit. The man claims that from September 2012 to 2018, he worked 60 hours per week for a fixed weekly salary of $1,048 that did not include proper time-and-a-half overtime pay. Further, the plaintiff alleges his employers made unauthorized monthly deductions of $110 from his wages starting in July 2018.
The suit goes on to accuse the defendants of failing to maintain proper recordkeeping practices and failing to furnish a proper wage notice and accurate paystubs to the plaintiff.
