Filed: March 22, 2018 ◆§ 4:18cv202
A line cook claims Sports City Café, Inc. owes unpaid time-and-a-half wages for hours worked past 40 during certain workweeks.
A proposed collective action has been filed in Texas against Sports City Café, Inc.—which operates as Sneaky Pete’s Texas USA and Nick’s Sports Bar & Grill—in which the plaintiff claims bartenders and line cooks are owed unpaid overtime wages. The lawsuit states the plaintiff worked as a line cook at Sneaky Pete’s Texas USA from May through December 2017 and continues to work in the same role at Nick’s Sports Bar & Grill in The Colony, Texas. The man claims that throughout his tenure at both locations he has not been paid time-and-a-half wages for every hour worked in excess of 40 each week.
