Two individuals formerly employed as warehouse helpers by SLR Food Distribution, Inc. have filed a proposed collective and class action against the company and two owners to recover allegedly unpaid wages.
Two individuals formerly employed as warehouse helpers by SLR Food Distribution, Inc. have filed a proposed collective and class action against the company and two owners to recover allegedly unpaid wages. One named plaintiff worked for New Hyde Park, New York company from August 2017 through April 2018, the case says, while the other was employed by the defendants from July through November 2017.
The plaintiffs claim they regularly worked 50.5 hours per week without being paid time-and-a-half overtime for every hour worked past 40. Further, the individuals claim they were never provided with wage statements at their time of hire nor during any given pay period.
