Seven File Unpaid OT Lawsuit in Georgia Against Auto Reflections
Last Updated on May 8, 2018
Littleton et al. v. Auto Reflections, Inc. et al.
Filed: September 15, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-03589-LMM
Seven individuals have put their names on a lawsuit that alleges Auto Reflections owes piece-rate workers unpaid time-and-a-half overtime wages.
Georgia
Seven plaintiffs have put their names on a proposed collective action that alleges Auto Reflections, Inc., Manheim Remarketing, Inc. (which the case says operates a public auction and owns the property on which it subcontracts detailing work with Auto Reflections) and one individual failed to pay time-and-a-half overtime wages. The complaint notes that the lawsuit is related to a previous case (Fears v. Auto Reflections; 1:17-cv-02632-CAP) that also seeks to recover allegedly unpaid wages stemming from time spent traveling, waiting for supervisors, and shorted hours.
The plaintiffs allege they and other piece rate workers responsible for detailing cars and doing logo work on windows received no time-and-a-half hourly overtime pay for all hours worked past 40 each workweek. The individuals say they were instead paid at a straight-time rate regardless of the number of hours they worked. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs repeatedly complained about the alleged lack of overtime pay to no avail.
