A current employee of JB Security, Inc. has filed suit against the company and its CEO over allegations that they violated several provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York state law. The plaintiff, who is currently employed as a security guard, says he regularly works 88 hours per week for the defendants without being paid time-and-a-half overtime wages for hours worked above 40 each week.
In addition to what the suit claims is a “blatant violation” of labor laws, the plaintiff says the defendants also failed to provide him with posted notices of wage requirements and weekly paystubs that detail his hours and rate of pay.
