Sally Beauty Supply LLC is the defendant in a lawsuit filed by a former customer service employee who claims she was not paid proper wages for off-the-clock work.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff worked for Sally Beauty Supply in Florida from February 2006 through February 2018. The woman claims the defendant required her to make bank deposits for Sally Beauty off the clock during her lunch break without commensurate wages for this work time. In fact, the plaintiff claims she performed off-the-clock lunch-time work while employed at two separate Florida Sally Beauty Supply locations, which the suit says caused her to put in more than 40 hours per week.
The suit specifically charges that the defendant failed to pay the plaintiff time-and-a-half overtime wages during every week from at least April 9, 2015 through the end of the plaintiff’s employment.
