Pesce Pasta Quattro Inc. and two individuals with control over the New York City restaurant are facing a proposed collective action filed by two former employees who claim they’re owed unpaid overtime wages. According to the lawsuit, one plaintiff worked at the defendants’ Italian restaurant as a dishwasher, kitchen worker and delivery person from 1996 through April 2015, while the other was employed as a cook from 2007 through October 2016.
Per the first named plaintiff, the lawsuit claims the man was not paid the proper minimum wage from 2012 through April 2015. During that time, the case elaborates, the man supposedly worked around 60 or more hours per week without appropriate time-and-a-half overtime wages. As for the second named plaintiff, the man allegedly did not receive overtime pay between 2012 and October 2016, during which the case says the employee put in around 60 hours per week.
