A former employee of Queen’s Care in Home, Inc. and Queen’s Care in Home 2, LLC has filed suit against the companies and an individual over claims that she didn’t receive all wages she was owed. The woman was reportedly responsible for providing personal care to the defendants' elderly and disabled clients within their homes, including housekeeping duties, meal preparation, personal hygienic care, medication reminders, scheduling appointments, exercise, and physical therapy. According to the complaint, the defendants failed to pay the plaintiff premium wages for the hours she worked in excess of 40 each week and in excess of 12 per day, as required under the Colorado Minimum Wage Order. Moreover, the woman claims she was not paid for time she spent traveling between clients’ homes, which she estimates to be about two hours per day.
