An individual formerly employed as a laborer by PeopleReady Florida, Inc. has sued the company to recover allegedly unpaid wages. The plaintiff, who worked for PeopleReady from September 15 through October 3, 2017, claims he worked in excess of 40 hours per week during his short stint with the defendant without being paid time-and-a-half hourly overtime. The lawsuit additionally alleges the defendant failed to maintain proper employee time records in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
