Florida
A Florida woman has filed suit against former employer G Security Services LLC (which does business as Patrol Services of Orlando) and an individual manager of the company over claims that she was not paid proper overtime wages during her employment as a security officer. According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendants from April through June 2017, when she claims she was terminated in retaliation for complaining about the company’s pay practices. She argues that she and other employees regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving time-and-a-half premium pay.
