Hanshaw v. Veterans & Medicaid Planning Group, PLLC et al.
Filed: September 5, 2017 ◆§ 5:17-cv-00410-CEM-PRL
Veterans & Medicaid Planning Group, PLLC and an individual owner are facing a former employee's allegation that she was not paid proper wages.
Florida
Veterans & Medicaid Planning Group, PLLC and an individual owner are facing a former employee's allegation that she was not paid proper wages. The plaintiff worked as a paralegal for the defendants from October 2013 through June 2017 and, according to the lawsuit, was often required to work more than 40 hours per week. She claims the defendants failed to pay her overtime wages for the weekly hours she worked above 40, despite her position being non-exempt from Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
The suit further alleges that the plaintiff qualified for a quarterly bonus, per an oral agreement with her employers, but has still not received her last bonus payment.
