Bleiburg Restaurant Inc., the owning and operating entity of Keens Steakhouse, has been hit with a class action lawsuit over alleged FLSA violations.
New York
Bleiburg Restaurant Inc., the owning and operating entity of Keens Steakhouse, has been hit with a class action lawsuit over alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations. Filed in New York, the suit claims the defendant failed to pay current and former workers proper overtime wages for all hours worked over 40 in a week. The plaintiff, who worked roughly 43 to 52 hours per week for the defendant from 2014 through October 5, 2016, says that in addition to being denied proper overtime compensation, he was not provided with adequate meal breaks even though one hour’s pay for lunch was deducted from his weekly wages.
The proposed class covers all current and former Bleiburg Restaurant Inc. employees in New York who were not paid proper overtime wages within the last six years.
