Caralampio et al v. 272 Smith Llc et al
Filed: January 23, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv486
Three plaintiffs say they were not paid mandatory minimum wages for all hours worked at the Cubana Cafe in Brooklyn.
The companies and individuals that run the Cubana Café in Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens neighborhood are the defendants in a proposed collective action filed by three plaintiffs who claim they were paid only a day rate and did not receive mandatory minimum wages for all hours worked. Moreover, the plaintiffs, who worked for defendants 272 Smith LLC and Sheeky Inc. until around August and September 2017, claim they were required to work well over 40 hours per week, putting in anywhere from 50 to 64 hours per week, without time-and-a-half overtime pay.
