Castaneda v. Martinez
Filed: August 31, 2017 ◆§ 2:17-cv-00498-SPC-CM
A proposed wage and hour class action claims the operator of Florida restaurant Paloma Blanca owes unpaid overtime wages.
The individual owner and operator of Rei Martinez Enterprises, Inc., which does business as Naples, Florida restaurant Paloma Blanca, is facing a lawsuit filed by a former waitress who alleges she and similarly situated individuals are owed unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff, who the case says worked for the defendant from 2006 through May 2014, alleges she and other current and former waitresses regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid time-and-a-half wages for all hours worked past 40. The complaint looks to recover unpaid wages dating back to the plaintiff’s date of hire in 2006.
