Filed: October 4, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-23638-FAM
A former employee's lawsuit alleges Omel Flowers failed to pay proper overtime wages and wages for all hours worked.
An individual hired to work as a floral designer by Omel Flowers & Design Corp. alleges the company and one individual who runs the business failed to pay overtime wages in one or more weeks between February and May 2017. The plaintiff claims he worked six or seven days per week during that span, and is owed approximately 73 hours’ worth of unpaid overtime. Moreover, the case claims the defendants, on top of the allegedly unpaid overtime, failed to pay the plaintiff for more than 57 and one-half hours of work during two weeks in May 2017.
