A lawsuit claims the diesel engine maintenance company failed to pay time-and-a-half overtime for all hours worked in excess of 40 each week.
An individual who worked as a maintenance employee for Oil Can Man Inc. in Florida has sued the mobile diesel engine mechanic service and its owner to recover allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff, who worked for the defendants from December 2015 through mid-January 2018, claims he worked an average of 50 hours per week without being paid any wages for hours worked past 40 each week. The lawsuit describes the defendants’ alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations as intentional.
