Pichardo v. NPI Manufacturing Ltd et al.
Filed: December 22, 2017 ◆§ 2:17-cv-07469-ADS-AKT
A former employee claims he worked between 64 and 78 hours per week for NPI Manufacturing without proper overtime wages.
Hicksville, New York box producer NPI Manufacturing Ltd. and its owner are on the wrong side of a proposed collective and class action in which the plaintiff alleges he regularly worked between 64 and 78 hours per week without proper overtime pay. The plaintiff, a factory line worker and machine operator employed by the defendants from September 2014 through March 2017, alleges NPI further violated federal and state labor laws by failing to provide him with proper wage notices upon his hire date, and accurate wage documentation at the end of every pay period.
The case goes on to note the defendants reportedly paid the plaintiff with two checks when he worked more than 40 hours in a week, one payroll check for his first 40 hours and an NPI business check for the additional work time.
