Filed: August 4, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-22972-RNS
A former employee claims Northside Imports and Universal Imports Parts owe unpaid time-and-a-half overtime wages.
Florida
Joint employers Northside Imports, Inc. and Universal Imports Parts, Inc. are on the receiving end of a former employee’s lawsuit claiming the companies owe unpaid overtime wages. Filed in Florida, the complaint alleges the plaintiff, from roughly January 2003 through November 2015, worked an average of 60 hours per week and was never paid time-and-a-half overtime for any hours worked past 43 in a workweek. The plaintiff, a former delivery worker, got a small pay bump from November 2015 through May 2017, but was still denied the full amount of his mandatory overtime wages, the case continues.
