New Somahang Auto & Body Inc. Subject of Unpaid Overtime Collective Action

Two plaintiffs have sued Flushing, New York’s New Somahang Auto & Body Inc. and one individual to recover supposedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiffs, whose employment as auto body workers respectively ended in December 2017 and January 2018, claim they routinely worked at least 50 hours per week, and sometimes up to 56 hours per week, without time-and-a-half overtime. The complaint also alleges the defendants, until this year, failed to provide employees with a time clock, sign-in sheet, or any other method to record their work time.
