Florida
Puerto Madero International Corporation is facing claims that it violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to pay its employees proper overtime wages. The company, which does business as PM Fish & Steak House, paid the plaintiff $11.37 per hour plus tips, but failed to compensate him at all for the hours he worked above 40 each week, according to the suit. The plaintiff claims he worked at least 10 hours of overtime per week and should have been paid at the time-and-a-half overtime rate required under the FLSA for those hours.
